PRP Injections
Regenerate your body with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections. This incredible technique utilizes your own body's healing capability to increase mobility, reduce pain, and replace damaged cells.
About PRP Injections
What conditions does PRP therapy help?
While we are still exploring the full capabilities of this incredible process, here are a few items that PRP injections can treat:
-
Arthritis
-
Tendon tears
-
Muscle sprains
-
Ligament damage
How long do the results last?
PRP therapy speeds up the healing process. Even so, your body must restore the injuries on its own.
The results are not instantaneous, but the are very noticeable, given time.
Should I get PRP Therapy?
Because PRP is leveraging your own healing potential, the risks are minimal.
If you suffer from chronic pain, limited mobility, or general lower leg and foot discomfort, you may be a prime candidate for PRP injections.
How does PRP use my own healing potential?
Platelet-rich plasma therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient’s own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient's own healing system to improve musculoskeletal problems.
PRP injections are prepared by taking anywhere from one to a few tubes of your own blood and running it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These activated platelets are then injected directly into your injured or diseased body tissue. This releases growth factors that stimulate and increase the number of reparative cells your body produces.
